RE/MAX Cayman Islands has created a very special and meaningful new award, the Furius Whelan Trophy, which will be presented to an outstanding Sales Associate who achieves tremendous success as his or her first year as a real estate agent.
“From the day he started, Furius’s passion and enthusiasm were unrivaled,” added Kim Lund, Broker/Owner at RE/MAX Cayman Islands. “He was a rising star on his way to a tremendous career in real estate and establishing this award to honour Furius was something we all felt very strongly about.”
The first recipient of the Furius Whelan Trophy is Mitchell Hillier. Mitchell is being honoured for his outstanding rookie year in 2022.
“Mitchell has excelled in real estate here at RE/MAX,” added James Bovell, Broker/Owner at RE/MAX Cayman Islands. “He garnered tremendous success in his first year, and he continues to do so each and every day.”

Furius’s wife, Ivana, and daughter Mia, joined the RE/MAX Cayman Islands family for the official presentation of the Furius Whelan Trophy to Mitchell Hillier.
