RE/MAX Cayman Islands Announces Shaye Ebanks as its Newest Real Estate Apprentice

Back in 2016, RE/MAX Cayman Islands launched its three-year real estate apprentice program with its first apprentice Stephen Rivers. After completing the program, Stephen is now a full-time agent with RE/MAX Cayman Islands and has been with the company for over 6 years.

RE/MAX Cayman Islands is proud to announce its newest real estate apprentice, Shaye Ebanks. Over the course of the next three years, Shaye will learn all aspects of the real estate business beginning with the administrative side of real estate which includes learning the entire process that is needed to close a deal, learning how to operate the MLS and LIS programs, as well as attending various training courses to develop excellent customer service skills.

In her second year, Shaye will start shadowing different agents within RE/MAX Cayman Islands to learn how to put together deals, experience how agents conduct showings, open houses, and listing presentation, as well as learn what it takes to be a standout agent in such a competitive marketplace.

In her third year, Shaye will be CIREBA trained as well as attend numerous courses and become a Sales Assistant on a monthly rotational basis.

“It has been almost two months since I have been at RE/MAX as an apprentice, and it has truly been amazing so far” added Shaye Ebanks. “As a young girl at the age of 7-9 years old I remember watching the infamous show, “House Hunters” with my mom. For some reason even at that age I found something so interesting and entertaining to watch. It was the satisfaction of the different locations and houses that were shown that caught my attention and I fell in love with the idea of selling someone their forever dream home. Once I became mature enough to understand what kind of business it was, I told myself that’s going to be my future career.”

“I came to RE/MAX with a fresh mind, open to learn more about real estate and ready to pursue great things for my future in this industry,” continued Shaye Ebanks. “As a young Caymanian it is important to me to make a name for myself and to represent my country by showing how hard working and disciplined, we Caymanians are also. This industry offers so many opportunities and connections and I am so excited to soon be a part of people’s lives and sharing the joy with each one of them when it comes to selling them their dream home.”

“Becoming a successful real estate agent is more than just passing your CIREBA exams,” added Kim Lund, Broker/Owner, RE/MAX Cayman Islands. “Our real estate apprentice program allows individuals to learn all aspects of the real estate business which will undoubtedly make them stronger, more passionate, and dedicated agents. We are very impressed with Shaye and her commitment as a young Caymanian and are excited to see her progress over the next couple of years.”

“By joining our apprentice program, Shaye has already exhibited the dedication needed to become a strong agent,” added James Bovell, Broker/Owner, RE/MAX Cayman Islands. “We welcome her to our RE/MAX Cayman Islands family and are here to help her achieve her goal of becoming an agent with us.”
